The system ran normally this month. There was one incident, caused by the hosting provider, which resolved itself within 13 minutes and required nothing from you. All three requests you sent were completed the same day you sent them. Three things are waiting on a decision from you, further down.

  Closed a hole in the image handling library

  A high severity vulnerability was published that allowed foreign files through the product image upload. I patched it the same day it was announced, and checked back through the logs to confirm nobody had used it against your site.

  Fixed shipping being miscalculated above ten items

  You reported it at 20:14. Fixed and live at 22:03 the same night. The cause was a tiered rule that did not cover the band above ten. I added an automated test so it cannot come back.

  13 minutes of downtime, caused by the hosting provider

  Monitoring alerted me at 02:41, I opened a ticket with the host immediately and service returned at 02:54. You were not woken and had nothing to do. This one is outside our control, but if it happens again next month I will bring you a costed proposal to move hosts.

• 21 July

  Restored a backup for real

  Restored the night of the 20th to a test site kept separate from the live one, then compared product, order and member counts to confirm everything was there. It took 4 minutes 40 seconds. A backup you have never restored is not a backup yet.

  Updated the promotion page as requested

  Changed the banner and the end date for the August promotion. That was the third change of the month, exactly the allowance in this package.

I do not decide for you on anything that costs money or changes how the business runs. None of these three is urgent, but you should know about them.

  The product review plugin has not been updated in 14 months

  No vulnerability has been published for it, so this is not urgent. But an abandoned component is a debt waiting to be collected. There is a maintained alternative and the existing reviews can be migrated across. It takes around three hours, which is outside the retainer, so I quote it before doing anything rather than billing you afterwards.

  It costs the product list about a second and a half on mobile. I can compress them in one pass with no visible loss, but I need your say-so first, because it touches your original files.
