Questions people ask about this service
How is React Native different from a website wrapped as an app?
A wrapped app shows a web page inside an app frame. React Native drives the real buttons, lists and inputs of iPhone and Android. The official React Native documentation says that at runtime it creates the corresponding Android and iOS views, which is why the app feels native and can use the camera, notifications and offline storage properly.
Do you need a Mac to build the iPhone version?
No. I build the iOS app on cloud build servers with Expo EAS and test it on a real iPhone. You try it partway through with Apple's TestFlight, inside your own account.
Whose name is the app published under?
Yours. Open the Apple and Google developer accounts in your company name from the start. Company accounts need a D-U-N-S number, which is free but can take weeks, so it starts on day one. The app stays your property and you can change who maintains it whenever you want, including replacing me.
Does Google's new developer verification affect the app?
It does. Google now requires Android apps installed on phones to come from a verified developer, starting with Thailand, Brazil, Indonesia and Singapore on 30 September 2026, and it applies to every framework including React Native. Apps published on Google Play under a verified account keep working as normal, and I put that step on day one.
Why does this cost more than your Android-only app?
You get two platforms and two store reviews. If every user is on Android, for example company phones handed to staff, my Android service costs less and is written fully native in Kotlin. I tell you which one fits during scoping.
Is there real work I can look at?
mobile-ai-chat, a React Native and Expo chat client that keeps the AI key on the server, is public on GitHub. ReceiptLens, a native Android app that reads receipts on the device, is public too. Judge from code you can read rather than from a number of years.
